Moulding equipment on hand allows us to employ either rubber compression moulding, rubber injection moulding or rubber transfer moulding.
Rubber Compression Moulding involves placing the rubber blank (pre-shaped and weighed) into an open mould. Rubber blanks are placed in the mould cavities after which the tool is closed. This moulding process may be utilised for single cavity/ low volume applications, proto-type tooling, multi-cavity moulds where the high value of a raw material inhibits the use of injection moulding and composite products e.g. metal bonded to rubber or fabric reinforced rubber product.
